Medical Education

Fraser Health is a major participant in the education of BC health professions’ students – from medical students and residents to nurses and allied health professionals. Affiliation agreements are in place between Fraser Health and several local post-secondary institutions.

The UBC Faculty of Medicine is the only Faculty of Medicine in British Columbia. It encompasses 6 Health Authorities - including Fraser Health - and 2 Partner Universities (UNBC and UVic).

Fraser Health plays an integral role in UBC’s undergraduate and postgraduate medical training programs. Formal and informal medical education programs exist across the majority of Fraser Health's 12 acute care sites.
